Japanese Style Buckwheat Noodles
Buckwheat isn’t actually a type of wheat. Rather, it’s a cousin of both rhubarb and sorrel and is referred to as a pseudocereal, a category of plants that have culinary uses and nutritional profiles very similar to cereal grains such as rice and wheat.
It produces pyramid-shaped seeds, or groats, that are roasted and then cooked whole (called kasha), cracked (so they’re similar to grits), or milled into a flour.
Buckwheat flour contains no gluten, the protein that gives wheat‑based doughs their elasticity. As a result, doughs made with buckwheat flour are delicate and the noodles tend to be more fragile than noodles that contain a blend of buckwheat flour and wheat flour

All orders will be shipped via Standard Ground Shipping (United States Postal Service or UPS Ground).
Standard Ground shipping takes 4-10 business days for delivery.
We ship to the 48 US States, as well as the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. We do not provide International Shipping.

We offer 2-day standard shipping for NY, MA, NJ, CT, PA, and DC state only. No extra fees will be charged for the service.
Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands are to be shipped via USPS Parcel Post. They are NOT eligible for flat rate nor for free shipping. Rates for USPS Parcel Post can be viewed in shopping cart.
Express Shipping: “Express” refers to the shipping method only (UPS 3rd Day Select, UPS 2nd Day, or UPS Next Day Air). KEEP IN MIND: all express shipping orders will be processed and shipped within 24 hours of the following business day (Monday through Friday, excepting holidays) after the placement of the order. It is possible for an express shipping order to be shipped the day after rather than the day of the placement of the order. Rates for express shipping can be viewed in shopping cart.
Incomplete or incorrect addresses will incur an additional charge of $10. This is the price that CoCo Island Mart would be charged as a penalty for the incorrect address; the responsible party is therefore charged appropriately. It is the buyer's responsibility to make certain that the provided information is correct before submitting the order.
